CarolynI have a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Syracuse University and hold a provisional license (LP) in New York State.

At first, I like to create a relaxing and open environment where we can explore your concerns together. As we learn more about the issues, I may use a more straightforward approach, always making sure you feel safe and comfortable in the therapy space. Therapy can sometimes be difficult, but I aim to balance honesty with kindness so you feel secure throughout the process.

My work experience includes helping couples and other relationship styles like polyamory improve communication, resolve conflicts, work through trust issues after infidelity, and address sexual concerns. I also have many years of experience working with families facing parenting challenges and mental health concerns for children and teenagers. Additionally, I serve clients who are part of LGBTQ+ communities, kink, and ethical non-monogamous relationships.

I use affirming therapy methods and am trained in Internal Family Systems and Gottman techniques at a Level One provider.  I focus on the experience-based approaches as a family systems therapist.

I see clients at my office in East Syracuse and offer both in-person and online sessions.
